When it's too early for a spoon, it's perfect for NumNum.
Designed for use with purees and other food mixtures, GOOtensil™ is a pre-spoon that makes eating easier for little ones who are just starting to use cutlery. Unlike a regular spoon, the head is flat, so there’s no wrong way to hold it!

When to use?
To safely use pre-spoons, your baby must be able to sit up on their own and hold their head upright. After this stage, experts recommend introducing utensils that facilitate self-feeding only if your baby shows interest. This can happen around 6 months, but many babies are only really ready to handle these types of utensils between 10 and 14 months.
Ideal foods
Pre-spoons can be used with a variety of foods, including soups, porridges, yogurts, purees and more.
How to use?
Introduce the Stage 1 pre-spoon (spoon with textured surface) first, so your baby can soothe their gums while they get used to holding it. Once your baby has learned the basic movement between food and mouth, the Stage 2 pre-spoon, which holds more food, can be used alternately for thicker foods.
What do the experts say?
“Giving your baby the right tools to feed themselves is vital to their feeding development. Eliminate frustration and build independent eating habits and skills with pre-spoons,” says feeding expert Melanie Potock, MA, CCC-SLP, and author of Adventures in Veggieland.
